Argianas Welcomes New Managing Director

Kathryn Walker-Eich Assumes the Role of Managing Director

Argianas & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of Kathryn Walker-Eich to our team. Kathryn (Kathy) assumes the role of Managing Director with a focus on the firm’s growing governmental tax appeal division.

Kathryn comes to Argianas with a rich and diverse history in organizational development and the financial services/commercial real estate lending industries. With experience at the senior executive and managerial level Kathryn brings with her acute diagnostic and problem solving skills.

While serving the FDIC as an asset quality auditor during the Great Recession, Kathryn played a pivotal role in assessing the risk of credit decisions made by commercial real estate bankers in the Chicagoland area. As a former senior credit officer with a large bank, she understands the impact of safe and sound underwriting on a business’s sustainability. Getting to the right answer every time also matters when serving as a public fiduciary. As a Shields Township (Lake County, IL) Trustee, Kathryn supports the fair and equitable practice of property tax assessment.

Her experience in private sector risk management and public/governmental sector risk analysis and consulting provide rational and logical acumen that both advocate for and defend against the nuances of tax assessment, fair cash value, and tax appeal – a value added to both tax payors and tax intervenors.

Kathryn’s appraisal experience includes commercial real estate, financial institutions, municipalities, and private company tax appeal counsel. “We deal with all types of clients and to have someone who has such a deep understanding of the industry and ‘the other side’ of it is invaluable. Kathy’s CV speaks for itself, and her shared knowledge and experience will benefit all,” shared President Charles Argianas.

Kathryn received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a Certificate of Paralegal Studies for Civil Litigation from Roosevelt University, a Master’s in Business Operations & Technology Management, and a Masters in Bioethics from Trinity University. She is fluent in Spanish and is currently taking courses with the goal of earning her MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute.

“Kathryn approaches each assignment and client with a genuine and authentic curiosity,” said Vice President Alexander Argianas. “You can tell from the moment you meet her that she thinks critically and logically and is thoughtful in all that she does. She has already proven herself a valued member of the team and we look forward to growing together at Argianas.”
